For music lovers, go immerse yourself in the world of sexy jazz music at the International Jazz festival. Weekend Pass: R485; Day Pass: R330; Rosies Tickets: R25 per performance.
There will be food stalls and other textile stores around. It can be a bit crazy though, so come well prepared. Attendance figures have increased from the initial 14 000 to 32 000 in the last ten years. 3-4 April at the CTICC. www.capetownjazzfest.com
There is also the Champagne and Oyster Festival at Bloemendal wine estate on Sunday. it's a great excuse to sluuurp down some bubbles and eat juicy oysters (mind you the oysters weren't that fabulous last year). There is a wide variety of music entertainment throughout the day in a really stunning setting (great for the whole family - if you must bring tant Marie and Cobus jnr along).
