Free live music concerts at De Waal Park

This past weekend I went to my first-ever Concert in the Park at De Waal Park. It's a beautiful big park set in Oranjezigt, dog-friendly and family orientated with a beautiful Victorian fountain and lush spots of grass under shady trees – a welcoming picnic spot and chill out zone.

Last Sunday, Karen Zoid (for more info on her, visit her website: http://www.karenzoid.co.za/Homepage.aspx) – arguably one of South Africa's top female contemporary/rock artists – and her band put on a show as part of the series of free concerts lined up for the season. It was such a cool atmosphere – people picnicing, drinking wine, dancing, kids running around...
