The 15th South African Music Awards – or Sama’s for those in the know took place over the past weekend, and there was no doubt plenty of party andcelebrating afterwards.
There are a lot of categories or rather ‘catt-eh-garies’ (as it was pronounced by many), so work your way through them.
I was very happy for the following award winners:

I am of course disturbed by the rumours of the judges accepting bribes from record companies. I’m sure this definitely has some sort of reflection in many of the results. But hey its Africa, and this is just the way things happen here... Well let’s be honest, I’m sure it happens all over the world. At least we have our Sama’s and I am proud of them and the exposure they give to SA musicians.
